Peters Doig Art Exhibtion - awarded second place in Peoples Choice

I had an email this evening to let me know one of my Mt Eden series has been awarded second place in the Peoples Choice Awards, in the national 2014 Peters Doig Exhibition.
It is the first time I have entered this national show, and I was thrilled to be accepted as a finalist.
The piece sold on opening night, and the purchaser kindly contacted me to let me know how pleased she was with the painting.
The staff at the Marlborough Art Society have kept in touch with details of the show and have been helpful from the entry application through to the closure of the show.
It has all been a very positive experience, and if I am selected as a finalist next year I hope to head to the show for opening night and enjoy the selection of art.
